Lily Blossom

Lily has been busy growing the past couple of days! She has been
extra hungry and sleepy! Today, she is jabbering away and back to her old self. . .Just a little taller, maybe :-)

Our Daughter

Today we had our last post placement visit before Lily's finalization
on July 7th. Our adoption worker asked the question, "Are you sure
you want to finalize?" At that moment Lily looked at us out of the
corner of her eye and gave us one of her winner
smiles. . . ."ABSOLUTELY!". . .was our reply! :-)

Auntie Rachel!!!

We had an adventure today! Lily went to the airport for the first
time. . .and to pick up Auntie Rachel!!

We enjoyed the cooler (mid 70's) afternoon yesterday as a family! :-)

Family Date!

We took a nice walk this morning to the nearby coffee shop, library,
& bookstore! Lily loves taking a ride in the Baby Bjorn and we all
enjoy when Weyland has mornings when he's home and we can enjoy some
family time!

Bedtime Stories

Lily already loves to be read to! We snuggle up after bath & bottle
and read a few stories! Then she's off to bed!

Thankful

I am so thankful everyday to wake and begin the tasks of a wife and mother! The Lord has blessed me so much by fulfilling both of these desires! I love being Weyland's wife and I love being Lily's mom. Whenever I am tired (which is often nowadays!) I thank the Lord for these blessings!

Hello World!!

Lily is beginning to really notice the world around her. She gets
excited when she sees us, bright objects, and pages turning! She
even notices her bottle now--when she is finished eating we have to
set the bottle out of sight or she'll stare at it and cry for
more! :-) She gives us the best smiles when she wakes up in the
morning or from her nap! When Weyland plays the guitar or Katie
sings, she's mesmerized!
